I’m proud to say the book I have put together with Professor John Borrows, on how the law could reimagine the treaty relationship with First Nations, has now been published by U of T Press. We hope you will agrees that it offers stimulating ideas about how the law could do better in recognising indigenous peoples’ rights and the promises made in the treaties made by the Crown and Canada’s first peoples.
John and I have each contributed chapters and the introduction, and the rest of the book contains the ideas of some of the smartest and most imaginative scholars of Indigenous issues in Canada. The book project has taken a lot of work. We’re getting a great response already.
